Bakugan is an anime television series that revolves around a game of which SpinMaster has also produced a successful toy collection.

The series tells the story of a young boy named Dan and his friends, who fight with their Bakugan monsters to save the parallel universe of Vestoria and save the Earth from destruction. In the beginning, strange cards and orbs fall from the sky and children from all over the world arrange to fight battles with the Bakugans, there they do not yet know that these Bakugans are real creatures. Later, 12 year old Dan finds this out because his Bakugan " Drago" can talk. Together with Julia, a girl from North America and Marucho a strange tactics specialist, Dan forms a team to fight against the bandit Shun and the ultimate Bakugan Brawler. They also have to save the world from Dr. Michael, a mad scientist who has been manipulated by evil forces.
