Founded by Ettore Bugatti, the car brand is today, as it was then, one of the most noble in the world. When you hear the name Bugatti, you immediately think of fast racing cars. The production of Bugatti automobiles ran from 1909 to 1963 and celebrated thousands of victories in just a few decades. After the Second World War, however, the original Bugatti company from Molsheim in Alsace was discontinued. Since then, the company has been sold 3 times and moved its headquarters to Italy. Nowadays, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S belongs to the Volkswagen Group. Bugatti also inspires many collectors with their sports cars and limousines, for example the Schlumpf brothers, with their 123 Bugattis, the collection is now known as the "Schlumpf Collection" and the empty factory site has become one of the world's largest car museums, the "Cité de l'Automobile".
