The Little Princess is an animated series for young children. The little princess is 4 years old and lives in a castle together with her parents and the court. Other characters in the series are the Prime Minister, the Admiral, the General, the Gardener, the Cook and the Nanny, as well as the dog Schlamper and the cat Murr. The princess is very headstrong, so the ten-minute episodes are often called I want... Therefore, the entire court, including the animals, has to be considerate of the princess's will until she realizes it. The princess deals with her environment in the simplest way, so that young children can understand the show well. The series is based on the picture books of the same name by Tony Ross.
