The animated series is about the little orangutan Dodo. He lives together with his parents in the tops of the jungle giants. Dodo has found a mysterious sounding device, which a man has lost there. The "gizmo" . To find out how it works, he turns to Darwin the monkey, an old ape who grew up with humans and is known in the jungle as an oddball. Based on the books by Hans de Beer, the series was broadcast on KIKA.
