The action series "Knight Rider", with David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, ran for the first time on September 26, 1982 on US television. A main role has the talking and with artificial intelligence equipped sports car K.I.T.T. as Michael Knight's companion in the fight for law and order. The name K.I.T.T. is an acronym and stands for Knight Industries Two Thousand.
